Michigan is currently holding over $1.2 Billion in Unclaimed Money.
In fiscal year 2008, the state of Michigan received just over $111 million in unclaimed and abandoned property. The same fiscal year the state of Michigan only paid out $64 Million in claims. The figures were almost identical in fiscal year 2009 for Michigan.
