Unclaimed Screen Actor Residuals
There are approximately 1.5 million to 1.6 million paper checks processed each year for various amounts by the Guild’s Residuals Department.
You may be due residuals as a performer or as a beneficiary/heir of a performer. If the Guild is holding Unclaimed Residuals, it is because they can’t locate you. They may not have current or updated information in their database or they may not know you are the rightful beneficiary or heir.
Furthermore, beneficiaries and heirs will continue to recieve residuals. All residuals will continue to flow to designated beneficiaries and heirs as long as the TV or movie product continues to generate revenue for the producer. Remember, it is the beneficiarie’s and heir’s responsibility to take initiative to collect these funds.
